As in work your stash.
This week I have been experimenting with Yarn for a testknit . The item is a hat and called for a sportweight but having committed to use my stash Yarn most of which is 4ply fingering I wondered how I could make a Sport Yarn from it and came up with a little thought.
4 ply
Sport = 4 ply + Mohair
Dk= 4 ply + 4 ply
Aran = Dk + Dk
It allows for endless unique combinations.
My budget for wool is very much reduced this year as well as my speed of knitting. Being a creative person I shall visit my knitting pantry and imagine all the combinations I can come up with. What’s in your pantry? Go play.
